William Hughes Raper, Allan Creel Torgesen, Rev. Melville Blaine Walker, Robert

The Joseph Habersham Chapter of the National Society of the Sons of the American
Revolution is a historical, educational, and patriotic nonprofit, United States
501(c)3, organization that seeks to maintain and extend the institutions of
American freedom, an appreciation for true patriotism, a respect for our
national symbols, the value of American citizenship, the unifying force of e
pluribus Unum that has been created from the people of many nations into one
nation and one people.
The Joseph Habersham Chapter represents Banks,
Franklin, Habersham, Rabun, Stephens and White counties in Northeast Georgia.
Chapter members serving in the GASSAR Color Guard:
Ted Smith, Perry Hendrix, Sr., Jim Patton, Bobby York, Bruce Maney and Larry
Whitfield (Commander).
Meetings
Joseph Habersham Chapter meets each 2nd Tuesday of each
month, at Clarkesville, North Georgia Technical College, Ramsay Hunter Dining
Hall. Dinner is at 6:00 p.m., meeting at 7:00. For directions call Kline Pugh at
